We are excited to announce we will be performing at Cape Dance Festival, July 25 in Provincetown, MA.

Movement Migration is delighted to be invited again to present an evening-length work for the DAP Festival.

Artistic Director Kim Jones and E.E. Balcos created a new duet for Moving Poets’ performance, Heaven, at the Booth Playhouse. Told through contemporary dance, theater, music, film, video-mapping, and visual arts, the story travels through the realities and dreams of Maria Elena, a detained immigrant child. It involved a community of artists of different cultures, age groups, and disciplines. The work highlights the challenges of migration and displacement. It celebrates the culturally diverse, rich experiences and valuable contributions of natives and immigrants to our community.

We are thrilled to join the Bechtler Ensemble in next month’s multi-disciplinary music series performance.

We are invited to dance in the GALA performance for the inaugural Dzul International Dance Festival!

Movement Migration performed as part of Camp North End’s Nex Plate Series. The “Colors of Fall” event featured live-fire cooking from celebrity Chefs Tiffany Derry of Roots Chicken Shak in Dallas and Chef Greg Collier of Uptown Yolk and Leah & Louise in Charlotte.
