Kari Sescourka (Apprentice)

Kari Sescourka began her ballet and modern dance training at Artistic Motion School of the Arts, also known as the Triad International Ballet, where she performed principal roles including Kitri in Don Quixote and the Sugar Plum Fairy in The Nutcracker. After graduating in 2022, she pursued higher education at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she is working toward a Bachelor of Arts in Dance with a concentration in Applied Dance and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a concentration in Physical Therapy. She also completed an Undergraduate Certificate in Professional Training with the Charlotte Ballet.

Kari has attended summer intensives with the Fini Dance Festival, Charlotte Ballet, and the Martha Graham School over multiple summers. In 2023, she performed in the University Partnership Program at the The Joyce Theater, appearing in the work “Adorations, Reimagined.

In 2025, Kari collaborated with Movement Migration, performing Vitruvian Wo(man) in the production “Movements in Resilience.” She also performed in Dido and Aeneas, a collaborative production with the Queens University Chorus.

Kari aspires to become a physical therapist specializing in dance medicine, with the goal of helping dancers receive the care and treatment they deserve. She is excited to begin this new chapter with Movement Migration and is honored to share her artistry with the community.
