Movement Migration's "Moonlight in Motion"

from $20.00

May 8 at 7  PM • May 9 at 1 PM & 5 PM • Soirée following the 5 PM showing
At The Long Room, 1111 Central AvenueCharlotte, NC, 28204, United States

Moonlight in Motion, presented by Movement Migration, is an intimate evening of live piano and modern dance. The program centers on celebrated works by composers Frédéric Chopin and Ludwig van Beethoven, including the beloved “Moonlight Sonata” and reflective “Nocturne in A-flat Major, Op. 32” performed live alongside the dancers by pianist Claudio Olivera.

Inspired by the tradition of the nocturne, the artists create a program that moves between reflection and intensity, capturing the quiet allure that comes with wonder of night.

Guests of the Saturday evening performance are invited by Artistic Director Kim Jones to stay for the Movement Migration Soirée, a chance to meet the artists, share conversion with company members, and celebrate the artistry of the evening.

The program unfolds in the intimate setting of The Long Room on May 8 and 9, bringing together the enduring resonance of these compositions through the expressive power of movement.

Tickets: General Admission: $30 | Seniors/Students/Teachers: $20 | Saturday Soirée + Show: $35.
