“Movement Migration was in residence for one week at New Ballet this summer during our advanced intensives. This engagement included instruction in Limon and Graham techniques, as well as choreography, and the week culminated in a performance featuring three works by Movement Migration in addition to other repertoire learned in previous weeks. The wonderful Artists, Artistic Director Kim Jones, and Pablo Francisco Rubacalva worked with the advanced group, and Blakeley White McGuire and Daniel Fetecua created a work on dancers ages 13-15. This was a miraculous feat in that there was only one week to create and rehearse the work! In addition, all four artists taught across the spectrum and performed on the same program with the students. Movement Migration blended beautifully into our family, embracing not only the children with nurturing instruction, but also showing an appreciation for our unique culture. Most of all, the students loved working with these consummate professionals. We can't wait to invite them back to Memphis!”
