Jacqueline White
Jacqueline began her training with Arnott Mader of the Richmond Ballet and furthered her training at the Virginia School of the Arts. Upon graduating from NCSU with a degree in Environmental Design, Jacqueline went on to study with the Nutmeg Ballet before returning to North Carolina to teach and perform. Jacqueline has performed with numerous regional companies, including Martha Connerton/ Kinetic Works, Kim Robards Dance (Denver, Co.), Echo Contemporary Dance Arts, Opera Carolina and as a founding member of “project incite.” She is the owner/director of Open Door Studios and has taught in public schools, private studios, and as a visiting lecturer at UNC Charlotte. Her choreography has been performed at SCEDA, BalletFest Atlanta, the Charlotte Dance Festival and the North Carolina Dance Festival.
Jacque is a community leader in Charlotte, NC. She provides dancers of all genres a home at Open Door Studios in the eclectic neighborhood of Plaza Midtown. As the owner, she offers studio rentals, an ongoing rotation of teachers, guest artists, a pre-professional company and scholarship opportunities. Read more →
